PilingCaps.com makes every effort to ensure that your order is delivered to quickly and reliably, and that all merchandise arrives undamaged and with no missing parts. If you do need to make a return, our professional staff will be happy to assist you with the process.

PRICES

The prices shown are in U.S. currency. They are FOB shipping point and do not include freight, applicable federal, state or local taxes, customs duties or export packing charges. Prices, specifications and availability of items are subject to change without notice.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All international shipments must be prepaid in U.S. currency via bank wire transfer. Any applicable duties, taxes, and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. FREE SHIPPING

To take advantage of our Free Shipping offer, you must purchase $50 or more worth of merchandise in a single order, and select "Free Shipping" as the shipping method at checkout.

Free Shipping is only available to addresses in the Contiguous United States (this excludes Alaska, Hawaii, and other US Territories) and applies only to merchandise purchased from pilingcaps.com.

Please allow 4-8 business days for delivery, from the date your order ships.

SHIPPING COSTS & ESTIMATES

The shipping cost listed with your order is an estimate. Although we strive to make our shipping estimates as accurate as possible, on rare occasions actual shipping costs can vary from the quoted rate. Should the shipping cost be higher than quoted, we will contact you for approval before processing and shipping your order.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FREIGHT TRUCK SHIPMENTS

Someone must be present to sign for and unload the delivery. Before signing for the delivery, you must inspect all items and note any damage or missing items on the delivery receipt.

Freight truck shipments are typically shrink-wrapped and palletized. You may need to break down the shipment or use a forklift to unload the delivery.

You are responsible for unloading your delivery; the delivery driver is not required to assist (although many of them will, if asked politely).

Pilingcaps.com takes every precaution in packaging your order to ensure that it arrives in pristine condition, but on rare occasions, damage or loss can occur during transit. For this reason, we must rely on you as the receiving customer to inspect all shipments when they arrive.

To expedite this, we ask that you please do the following:

  • Remove any shrink wrap so that you can inspect and count the contents carefully.
  • Items such as dock floats and dock boxes are more vulnerable to forklift damage, so please check them carefully.
  • Compare the number of packages on the delivery receipt with the actual number of packages to ensure that none are missing.
  • Make notes of any damage or missing packages on the delivery receipt before signing it.

When you sign the delivery receipt without making additional notes on it, you attest that the freight was received in good condition and you release the carrier of all liability. Pilingcaps.com cannot be held responsible for missing or damaged freight items when the damage or loss is not noted on the delivery receipt.

The delivery driver must wait for you to finish inspecting your shipment, so please take your time and inspect everything thoroughly. We realize that the delivery drivers are often in a rush, but make them wait an extra 5-10 minutes while you inspect everything!

Your shipping charges do not cover any additional services provided by the freight carrier, unless specifically noted on your invoice.

Freight carriers charge a fee for any additional services they provide. These additional services are not included in the shipping charges quoted, unless specifically noted on your invoice.

We have negotiated different rates with each carrier for each additonal service, so we can ship your order with the most cost-effective carrier depending on your requirements. If you know in advance that you need one of these services, please call 1-888-322-9508 so we can provide you with an accurate quote for the additional charge.

Services available include:
  • Guaranteed Service — Guarantees that the freight truck will deliver on a certain day. Typically costs an additional 10% of the estimated freight charges and must be arranged in advance. Not available for Residential deliveries, construction sites, or limited access sites.
  • Lift Gate Service — Flat fee of $35 if arranged in advance. If you unexpectedly require lift gate service at the time of delivery and the delivery truck is not equipped with a lift gate, a Redelivery fee (approximately $80) will apply in addition to the Lift Gate Service fee.
  • Change of Address — Minimum $78, plus additional freight charges if shipping to a different zip code.
  • Inside Delivery — Varies ($30-150, depending on carrier).
  • Limited Access Fee (construction sites, military installations, some gated communities) — Varies ($35-75, depending on carrier).
  • Redelivery Attempts — Approximately $80 per attempt.

Should your shipment unexpectedly require any of these additional services or incur any other addtional fees from the carrier at time of delivery, we will provide you with a separate invoice for these additional charges, which you agree to pay within 15 days of the date of invoice.

CLAIMS FOR SHORTAGES OR DAMAGED GOODS

On a rare occasion, a package may be lost or damaged in transit. For your protection, you should always carefully inspect any shipment before accepting delivery. If damage has occurred, you must note it on the delivery receipt. If a freight truck shipment is damaged, you must also immediately have the shipment inspected by the carrier. Obtain an inspection report from the carrier, and forward a copy to us. All claims must be filed within 7 days of receipt of shipment. Your Dock Builders Supply representative is available to assist with this process. Please call us at 1.888.322.9508.

If you are experiencing a non-delivery or your tracking information states that your package was delivered by the carrier but you have not received it; you must contact us within 7 days to file a claim.

We will assist you in working with the carrier to complete the claims process. Please note: Claims can take up to 30 days to complete (depending on the shipping carrier used).

PilingCaps.com does not hold or accept responsibility for packages that have been reported as delivered by the carrier. We do not issue refunds or credits for packages that the carrier confirms as being delivered.

EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

  • All returns or exchanges must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase.
  • Merchandise must be returned to us in new condition.
  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs during any return or exchange.
  • All merchandise must be returned with shipping charges pre-paid.
  • Free shipping is not available for the replacement merchandise.
  • All merchandise returned for refund is subject to a 15% restocking fee. Exchanges are not subject to a restocking fee.
  • All shipping & handling fees are non-refundable.
  • All returns or exchanges require an RMA number assigned by an authorized Pilingcaps.com representative. The RMA number should be clearly marked on all packages. Merchandise without an RMA will be returned to sender.
  • Refunds are calculated based on the purchase price of the merchandise only.
  • Please allow up to 10 days from the date of our receipt of the merchandise for processing.

A limited number of products are ineligible for return or refund. These include any products marked Special Order and any products with restricted return policies noted in their product descriptions.

When returning products, it is highly recommended that you use a service that provides delivery tracking, such as UPS or FedEx. We do not recommend using the US Postal Service for returns. If your order was sent to you via common carrier/freight truck, then the return merchandise usually needs to be returned using common carrier/freight truck as well.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you would like to cancel or change an order, you must contact us within 2 hours from the time the order was placed. We apologize, but orders placed online or over the phone begin processing immediately to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping time. Our representatives will request a cancellation of your order at our warehouse. If successful, they will send you an email and the cancellation will be free of charge. If cancellation was not possible, the products will be delivered to you, which you will need to refuse upon receipt. The products will be returned to us and we will issue a refund for the merchandise only (including applicable tax); shipping and handling will not be refunded.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE

PilingCaps.com reserves the right to cancel any order prior to delivery, at PilingCaps.com's sole discretion, whether or not payment was made. If payment was made and your order is cancelled, we will issue an appropriate credit to your account, or may contact you to collect information in order to do so.

LOCAL STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS

Certain products sold by PilingCaps.com are designed to satisfy state and federal requirements. Because local standards and regulations may vary significantly, PilingCaps.com cannot guarantee products meet all applicable requirements in each locale. The purchaser assumes responsibility for compliance with local standards, codes, and regulations where the products will be shipped, sold and used.

WARRANTIES

Many products sold by PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply are covered against defects by manufacturers’ warranties. A copy of each manufacturer’s warranty is available upon request. If you experience any product defects inside of our return period or have any questions, please call us at 1.888.322.9508. If failure of a product purchased through us occurs during the manufacturer’s warranty period, a claim for adjustment may be submitted directly to the manufacturer, or our company will assist on submitting such claims. Products sent to us for warranty consideration are accepted only under the conditions stated in the manufacturers’ policies. Please note acceptance of such items by us for submission to the manufacturer does not imply validity to any claim. All decisions regarding the repair or replacement of any items are the sole responsibility of the manufacturer. Under no circumstances are we as a distributor, authorized to replace a defective item prior to submitting such item to the manufacturer.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply disclaims all warranties either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose with respect to any product purchased from any PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply retail store, website, or catalog. PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply’s liability in connection with a customer’s purchase is expressly limited to PilingCaps.com return policy set forth above, and all claims for consequential, incidental, or special damages are hereby excluded.

INDEMNITY

Neither PilingCaps.com, nor Dock Builders Supply, nor W.R. Williams Enterprises, Inc. shall be subject to, and disclaims: (1) any obligations or liabilities arising out of breach of contract or of warranty, (2) any obligations whatsoever arising from tort claims (including negligence and strict liability) or arising under other theories of law with respect to products sold or services rendered by PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply, or any undertakings, acts, or omissions relating thereto, and (3) all consequential, incidental, or contingent damages whatsoever including, but not limited to, labor costs or loss of profits arising out of or in conjunction with the manufacture, sale, delivery, use of, or inability to use any products purchased from PilingCaps.com / Dock Builders Supply.

GOVERNING LAW / VENUE / JURISDICTION

This agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida without regard to the conflicts of law provisions thereof. ALL SALES TRANSACTIONS EXCLUDE THE APPLICATION OF THE 1980 UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON CONTRACTS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SALES OF GOODS, IF OTHERWISE APPLICABLE. All claims, actions, disputes, controversies or suits shall be litigated exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. Each party specifically consents to service of process by and the jurisdiction of and venue in those courts and Customer, if not a resident of the United States, hereby appoints the Secretary of State of Florida as its agent for service of process in the United States.
